Macro Photography Workshop in Missoula, Montana

07/09/08 - 07/13/08

I spent these five days taking a Macro Photography Workshop from the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. As always, I had a great time and I learned a lot. There were some absolutely amazing photos shown in the critique sessions by the other participants in the workshop.

The first photo in this set is of a brush fire that happened in Missoula the first night of the workshop. The brush fire was courtesy of two young boys playing with lighters. The remainder of the photos were taken as part of the macro photography workshop. As such, these photos are going to be different than what I usually post. These photos are a result of experimenting with placing the point of focus, changing the depth of field, and getting closer to the subject. I hope you enjoy the change of pace.
