Driving to Glacier National Park

I spent five days driving from Eugene, Oregon to West Glacier, Montana. This was more than enough time, but I had allowed for staying an extra day in Moses Lake, Washington for some walleye fishing. But it didn't happen, so I ended up with five easy days of driving.

One place I stopped along the way was an interesting place, Palouse Falls State Park. This area of Washington was the site of some of the most massive flooding ever. This flooding occurred thousands of years ago when Glacial Lake Missoula was formed by a glacier blocking off the Clark Fork River. The ice dam eventually collapsed and the lake emptied out as a massive wall of water that raced across eastern Washington. The first four photos are from here.

I spent one night at Central Ferry Park. This park is on Lake Bryan, which is an impoundment on the Snake River. The last photo is from there.
