I spent six days in the Birds of South Florida Photography Workshop offered by the Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP). As with all previous RMSP workshops that I've attended, I had a great time and learned a lot. We had long days with sunrise and sunset shoots every day. But the lack of sleep was worth it. We got up close and personal with lots of birds. The birds were used to humans being around, so they went about their daily routines as if we weren't there. All of the participants in the workshop were good photographers, so we saw many awesome photos during our critique sessions.
During the workshop, we visited the Venice Rookery, Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, and the Shark Valley area of Everglades National Park.
