Four Mile Creek State Campground

07/06/09 - 07/08/09

Four Mile Creek State Campground is in New York and on Lake Ontario. It gets its name from the fact that the creek is four miles from where the Niagara River flows into Lake Ontario. The creek was where the British landed to start the siege of Fort Niagara during the French and Indian War. The siege led to the surrender of the fort by the French and was a turning point of the war.
