Thaddeus Lake Lodge

08/26/09 - 09/16/09

I spent three weeks fishing at Thaddeus Lake. The weather was absolutely awesome. It was 21 days of mostly sunny days with temps in the 70s. The fishing was great as well. I caught tons of fish. My big fish for the week was a 43 inch muskie. I also caught a 42 inch northern, which is a new personal best for northerns.

In addition to the great weather and fishing, I had lots of great opportunities to view wildlife. There was a family of two adult and two juvenile bald eagles that hung out in one of the areas I fished. I had a blast watching them interact with one another. The loons were starting to gather together in preparation for migrating. So I was able to see rafts of a dozen or more loons. I also saw a group of three otters playing.
