Oregon Country Fair

07/09/10

The main purpose for going back to Oregon again was to go to the Oregon Country Fair near Eugene. I've heard many stories about it from my friends and decided it was time to go myself. This was the 41st annual event. The fair is the place for old hippies to hang out and party. Although, there were plenty of younger people there as well.

Unfortunately, it was sunny and 97 degrees the day we (and 15,000 other people) went. Fortunately, much of the fair's grounds is wooded. So it was possible to find a shady spot and watch as the throngs passed by. And believe me, there was plenty of people watching to be done. There were many interestingly dressed (or undressed) people to watch.

Since I don't like to post photos of people without their consent, I won't be posting that many photos from the fair. But I picked out a few where there aren't too many identifiable faces to give you a taste of what the fair was like. Ask to see the full set of photos the next time you see me.
