South Padre Island Birding Center & Nature Center

The South Padre Island Birding & Nature Center has nearly a mile of boardwalks in a coastal wetlands area. It's on the southern tip of South Padre Island, which is the world's largest barrier island. The island is a crucial first landfall for birds migrating across the Gulf of Mexico. Here's some of the wildlife I saw on my visit.
