Thaddeus Lake Afternoon Walks

08/30/14 - 09/19/14

I spent three weeks staying at Thaddeus Lake Lodge. The fishing was pretty decent, but the weather wasn't the best. There were quite a few rainy and/or windy days.

As I mentioned, the weather wasn't always the best. So I often took afternoon walks along the driveway leading to the fishing camp. The driveway is about a mile long and wanders through some woods, so it made for pleasant walk. In past years, I've seen all inds of animal tracks, including bears, wolves, and moose. But I only found a few deer tracks and what I believe were a few fox tracks. But as I started looking around a bit more, I started to notice the wide variety of mushrooms growing along the road. So my walks started to become a study in mushrooms.

This set of photos contains the photos I took of various mushrooms and wildlife I saw on these walks . The preceding photo sets contain my scenery and wildlife photos from my stay here.
