Thaddeus Lake

5/21/16 - 6/02/16

I spent two weeks at Thaddeus Lake Lodge. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good for most of my time there. If I had to come up with a title for the trip, it would be "Cloudy with a 60% chance of rain". That was basically the forecast for most days. It was totally overcast with dull gray skies for nearly hald the time. There were only three days where there was a significant amount of blue sky for the day.

Fishing was pretty good, but not as consistent as I would've liked it. I did catch a few nice sized walleyes with the biggest one coming in at 28 1/2 inches.

Because of the weather, I didn't get out to photograph as much as I usually do. When I did get out, the lighting conditions were often horrible due to the dark gray skies. I did get a chance on two nights to photograph the northern lights. But both nights were pretty short due to clouds moving in. Normally, there are many awesome sunsets here, but I didn't see a single decent sunset this whole trip.
