Madera Canyon

Madera Canyon is about 45 minutes south of Tucson. It is known as a premier birdwatching area since it is a resting spot for migrating birds. Some friends of mine were visiting Tucson and they are big birders. So we spent in a day in the canyon. We spent some time at a lodge in the canyon that has many bird feeders that draw lots of birds. We also hiked several trails in the canyon.
