Wabaskang Lake - Eagles

06/23/18 - 08/31/18

This gallery contains photos of eagles I found during my two month stay at Sleepy Dog Cabins on Wabaskang Lake. When I first arrive, I always check out an eagle's nest that is right on the water with a good view of the nest. A pair of eagles have raised one or two young ones there every year since I started oming here. This year was no exception. There was one youngster in the nest. Unfortunately, a few weeks after I arrived, a big wind knocked down the tree the nest was in and the nest fell into the water. The adults hung around that area for several more weeks and occasionally you could hear an eagle sounding in the forest. So hopefully, the young one survived and stayed back in the trees until he could fly.

Thanks to Tom and Magaret for the hospitality and thanks to all the regulars for letting me hang out.

As you can imagine, I generated a lot of photos over the two months I was here. I've broken them into six galleries. Please make sure you check out all of them.
