Arizona Sonora Desert Museum - Raptor Free Flight 2

12/16/21 - 02/28/22

The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is one of my favorite places. It is a combinatioin of zoo, botanical garden, aquarium, and natural history museum that exhibits thngs found in the Sonora Desert region. I visited the museum about once a week during my stay this winter.

My favorite thing to see at the museum is the Raptor Free Flight show. The raptors fly around the audience, often close enogh that you can feel the breeze as they pass inches over your head. Sometimes they may even brush your head with a wing. This gallery contains photos of the other non-hawk raptors that fly in the show. These include a Great Horned Owl, a Crested Caracara, and a pair of Chihuahuan Ravens.
